Laura A. Michenfelder

Attorney

Laura A. Michenfelder focuses her practice on the defense of long-term health care, premises liability, commercial litigation, and employment law related matters.

Prior to joining Airdo Werwas, LLC, Laura worked at a Chicago area insurance defense firm as an associate attorney. Her experience included working on complex civil litigation matters focused on the defense of commercial, construction, premises liability, products liability, and transportation claims.

Laura attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law and graduated in 2022. She received a Certificate in Trial Advocacy and was on the Dean’s List in 2020, 2021, and 2022. She was one of the 10 students elected as a Corboy Fellow in Trial Advocacy, where she spent over 400 hours a semester preparing for trial competitions. Laura received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, with minors in English and French, from the University of Arkansas in 2018. She was the Vice President and Captain of the Undergraduate Mock Trial Team.

Before law school, Laura worked for a national civil law firm on their intellectual property litigation team, where she assisted attorneys with defending matters involving patent, copyright, and trademark infringement claims against small businesses in federal courts across the country. She also worked as a law clerk for a Chicago-based labor and employment firm where she gained litigation experience in federal court and in administrative proceedings.

In her free time, Laura is a coach for the Loyola Corboy Fellows Mock Trial Team.
