Amna Abid

Attorney

Amna Abid focuses her practice primarily in the areas of nonprofit law and insurance coverage. Ms. Abid prides herself on knowing the nuances of precise legal drafting and how to litigate matters that require resolution by an arbitrator, judge, or jury. She is an expert in tax matters, trusts, estate plans, long-term corporate planning for not-for-profits, and advising policyholders on their rights in coverage disputes.

Prior to joining Airdo Werwas, LLC, Amna worked at JP Morgan as an Associate in Trusts and Estates, where she oversaw tax compliance for trusts and entities as part of the trust structure, including LLCs, partnerships, and corporations. Ms. Abid has reviewed trust deeds and estate plans to determine trustee filing requirements, and she regularly researched both foreign and domestic tax regulations. Amna’s experience also includes advising both corporations and disregarded entity clients on the reduction of tax liabilities and penalty abatements with federal and state tax authorities.

While in law school, Amna was a law clerk at a civil litigation firm in Chicago where she gained experience conducting legal research on civil rights law and family law matters and drafting motions and complaints for civil cases.

Ms. Abid is native in Urdu/Hindi and reads Spanish.
